2009 ISM kits are in!!

Thanks to Canari for getting our new 2009 ISM Kits shipped so quickly. The Black version arrived this week and the Blue version will ship from Canari this coming week. They look great and are incredibly comfortable. Team ISM members don't have to wait much longer. We will start filling orders next week. Extras have been ordered so check http://www.ismseat.com/ to orders yours.

Here I am heading out on a ride. Testing Canari's new chamois and working on my tan. Super comfy! Lookout Armstrong.

Headed out to day 1 of the Lago Vista Road Race this afternoon to see my "brotha from another motha", Russell, compete. It was super windy today and I was definitley glad I wasn't racing. Fun hanging with old friends and meeting new ones. Saw some ISM seats out there!

I'm sure we'll see more in the road scene when the new Adamo Peloton hits the market mid next month.

I wanted to give a shout out to ISM athlete and Olympian Sarah Haskins. Sarah underwent recent surgery to repair a damaged nerve in her left leg. Get better girl. Can't wait to see the damage you will do to your competitors when you hit the scene in June!

Weekend in Dallas!

Packed up the truck and headed to Dallas for the weekend to visit friends and family. The plan was to fit in some training while in Big D. Afterall, the New Orleans 70.3 is creeping up on me. Seems I always do this.....wait till the last minute that is! Saturday was incredibly windy (30 mph winds and hovering around 45*). I realize this might be nice riding weather for some, but I'm a Texan and we like it hot. Bailed on the riding for Saturday and went for a run instead. I did manage to snap a pic of a gal's bike with our ISM Sport saddle.

I've been getting tons of inquiries about our new ISM Adamo Peak saddle. We are anticipating the saddles shipping to dealers the 3rd week in March. I know this isn't soon enough for some, but we very much appreaciate your patience and it will be worth the wait. Here's a pic of an ad we are thinking of running. It's a play on how ISM saddles maintain bloodflow.

Tickets have been booked for the Taipei International Bike Show. www.taipeicycle.comtw/ The show is in March and allows us to meet with our non domestic distributors, other bike manufacturers, and pro teams. It's gonna be a long flight!

On Sunday I met up with my friend Mike Rodriguez for a ride. He lives in Ft. Worth and was on my way out of town. The weather was upper 50's and low wind (not like the day before). We managed to get in about 2.5 hours. Here's Mike in action.

Weekend of Training and Testing

This weekend I hooked up with Trigger Point Technology's (http://www.tpmassageball.com/), Cassidy Phillips for a 3 hour ride in Austin's hill country. Cassidy is training for Ironman CDA and I'm dusting off the cobwebs for the inaugural 70.3 New Orleans in April. Saturday was a great day to ride and we caught up with some local talent while on the roads. Pro triathlete power couple Brandon and Amy Marsh were doing some secret training and dragged us around for a few miles before turning off. Great seeing them. Brandon is curious about trying out an Adamo saddle. Seems he noticed the smiles of comfort on Cassidy and my face.

There was a big stage race near San Antonio, TX this weekend. I had several friends share with me they saw several ISM seats on TT and Road bikes during the event. The winner of the TT in the Pro, 1,2 event was using an Adamo Racing saddle. Glad to hear we are making an impact in the road racing scene. As a former roadie, I know how traditional that crowd can be!

Sunday I tested out ISM's newest addition to the performance saddle line, the Adamo Peak. The Adamo Peak is our mountain specific saddle. I've used in on my road bike and enjoyed the ride, and put it on my mountain bike today for some trail riding. The sides are Kevlar reinforced and the rear end drops as it taper back. The drop allows the rider to ride off the back of the seat while descending and not "catch" their shorts. Great graphics and felt comfy on the trail. Plenty of support and no crotch pain. It will hit the market in March and we already have several backorders. Check it out!

Blogging.....Here I come!

I've resisted long enough and it's time I step into the world of blogging. Seems other companies have them and most of my friends too, so why not. Guess that old saying my mom use to say applies about someone jumping off the bridge, would I'd follow. :) So here I am with my first post. Hopefully the first of many. The racing season is about to begin and that means more race expos. I enjoy the expo scene as it gives ISM the chance to talk with our customers face to face and educate new clients on our performance saddles and hydration system.

ISM is already off to a fantastic start to 2009 with Chris McDonald shattering the course record at the Challenge Wanaka ironman distance triathlon in New Zealand last month. And give it up for Hillary Biscay on her 3rd place finish as well. Chris uses the Adamo Racing saddle and Hillary finds the pink Adamo Road the most comfortable.

Thanks for reading and check in from time to time. I'll be posting new product pics, expo pics, and updating you on the daily culture here at ISM seats.
