Proper Seat Set up

A long time customer, Todd Kenyon of TT Bike fit (http://www.ttbikefit.com/) helped us with a proper set up video for our Adamo Saddle Line. Check it out!

Thanks Todd!

New Seats!!!

We finally received our first shipment of Adamo Peak and Adamo Peloton Saddles . And boy do they look great. The Adamo Peak is ISM’s first off-road specific model to be introduced to the market. It has reinforced sides for impact resistance and a sloped rear end for those off the back descending efforts that won’t catch your shorts. Saddles come in White or Black with camo side panels. Retail $139.95

The Adamo Peloton is our newest addition to the roadie market. The padding in the Adamo Peloton is more conducive to a 35-70* hip angle bend (road position). We’ve also added cool new graphics and a tapered rear end for additional comfort. Available in White, Black, Red, or Blue. Retail $139.95

Another noteworthy mention is we are doing a running change on our Adamo Road saddles. Here is the new cover and it is only available in Blue or Black. This new cover is currently available only in the United States. The Adamo Road saddle is still available in White, Red, Gray, Pink and Yellow in the striped version. Retail $139.95

Contact your local dealer for purchasing any of these and other ISM products. If you are having a hard time locating a dealer, feel free to check our dealer locator on our site, www.ismseat.com or call to find a dealer close to you. 512-968-1888

ISM Makes Headlines

March 8, 2009 ISM new recruit Kirk Nelson proves his worth by taking his first win of the season at the Toyota Desert International Triathlon in La Quinta, CA. Nelson raced using his White Adamo Racing saddle on his new Look. Proud of you Kirk! Keep up the good work.

March 25, 2009 Kiwi star Alison Shanks won gold at the 2009 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Pruszkow, Poland. Shanks won the 3000m Individual Pursuit beating out fellow ISM athlete, Wendy Houvenaghel Silver. Brit Wendy would lead the first 1000m but Shanks kicked in the afterburners and lit up the track for a 1.5 second victory. Congrats to both medal winners. Alison and Wendy both competed using their Adamo Racing Saddle.

March 26th, 2009. This time the Team Pursuit 3000m race at UCI track Worlds. British trio Wendy Houvenaghel (ISM), Joanna Roswell, and Lizzie Armistead defended their title for the gold. Kiwis Alison Shanks (ISM), Lauren Ellis, and Jaime Nielsen finished 2nd for the Silver just 1:06:416 down. Close race girls

Found a link to the 2009 Wanaka Challenge ironman event. ISM athlete Chris McDonald finished 1st and Hillary Biscay 3rd. View it here http://www.challenge-wanaka.com/youtube.html

Taipei International Bike Show

Well, I'm finally back in the States. God Bless the USA. The last 8 days I've been in Taipei, Taiwan attending the Taipei Bike Show. I'm now sitting in the LA airport trying to get a little work done. Been up since 2:30 this morning. My alarm was set for 6:30. Gotta love jetlag. Anyway, Steve, Laura, Michael and I made the trek over. Michael is my brother and decided he'd take the opportunity to tag along as he'd never been to Asia. It was nice having him there.

The show went great for ISM. It was an opportunity to visit with old friends and customers and forge new relationships. This show is mostly a manufacturing show as opposed to a retailer show so it was all business, all the time. Yeah right, this is the bike industry! :) We did pick up some more distribution globally, chatted with bike manufacturers, and had a chance to visit with our factories to make sure we are bringing the best product to market. Here's a pic I took of some blinged out helmet and shoes. Note the diamonds.

I did have a little dead time during the show so I borrowed a trials bike and decided to give the crowd a little show. Check the skills. This guy was brave!

Here's the booth. Steve had made some cool new stands for us right before the show.

Here are some tourist pics. The building in the background is Taipei 101. It's now the second tallest building in the world! Our hotel was right next to it. The other pics are from the top. Michael is a little scared of heights, but made it to the top with no problems. Peer pressure!

Taipei City had these cool colorful and artsy cows all over the city. It's the year of the cow in case you were wondering.

Mike and me. Standing next to him makes me look good. Sorry Mike! :)

Busy, Busy, Busy

Another week has passed. It was a busy one. We had several large orders come in this week from domestic dealers and international distributors. Seems bicycle seats are still quite popular despite the hard economic climate. It's always fun seeing all the orders stack up before UPS comes each afternoon. Guess that means we are doing a nice job.

ISM has been working on details for our 2009 expo schedule. We are still up in the air on all the events we will attend, but for sure we are heading to New Orleans 70.3, Longhorn 70.3, Clearwater 70.3 World Championships, St. Anthony's and likely the entire Texas Triathlon Series (http://www.texastriseries.com/). We are hoping to attend several Ironman events as well. More to come, but I have ordered more tents this week in preparation for the season. In other marketing news, ISM has been working on some new ads. Here's one you'll find in Triathlete Magazine this month.
Great news on Saturday! ISM athletes Jo Lawn and Bella Bayliss (Comerford), finished 2nd and 5th respectively at Ironman New Zealand. We are off to a terrific season and it's only the begining of March.

More to come,

Dave
